Notes

I found this drink on Punch and I’m not gonna lie: I’m peeved. On this post they say a Daisy (category) is a sour with club soda: that’s not true (ETA: There is some contention on this point, I always considered it added liqueur to a sour but there’s a bunch of disagreement). They list the recipe itself without club soda: that’s annoying. I was shooting a bunch of cocktails the day I did this so I was a little overwhelmed and had copied the spec to my notes and, well, I guess I can consider this glass half full instead of half empty. I shrugged, wondering if I’d been too short on my shake, maybe my glass was too big, skimmed the recipe on the website again to make sure I hadn’t missed anything but after staging and shooting read the first paragraph again and, well, oh well. Partly on me but c’mon Punch, that’s just frustrating. Anyway, the cocktail was quite tasty without the soda, though a little Chartreuse foward, and a beautiful color. Staged with a flower and raspberries I really was vibing and wish I’d paused another minute to figure out what the heck was going on but alas, live and learn.
