Stir all ingredients with ice. Strain into a chilled glass.

Notes

This cocktail was created for, and named after, Winston Churchill on one of his many visits to the American Bar at the Savoy hotel in London. The recipe was first printed nine months before Churchill became Prime Minister in 1939
